With Love Under "16"

Today, I went to a well-known retail store and what I saw was surprising. It was, ‘We are not allowed to sell tobacco and alcohol to persons under the age of “16”’. I was surprised. It should be 18. I am thinking, what’s going on with the lawmakers throughout the world, they are making senseless and irresponsible laws and people are blindly following them.

In my personal opinion, the legal age for marriage, to consume alcohol, for voting and for smoking, should be 21 or above because under 21 year of age; a person is a child or a teenager. They are not men and women. They are not responsible personalities. They are responsible for nothing. For today’s teenagers; alcoholism is fun, smoking is style and voting; who cares?

Then they complain, the country is going in the gutter, they don’t have jobs when they graduate with degrees and in debt of the banks which provides them with money for their education in universities. They protest against rising cost of education and get beaten by the police.

They are more interested in Facebook, WhatsApp etc.

They don’t care about the politics of their country; they don’t care about lawmakers, who are making non-sense laws.

They have no clue about lobbyists of big corporations who lobby to have influence when the lawmakers make laws.

What do you think why the legal age for every single thing is coming down?

Parents buying video games for their children, they don’t have a look on the ratings of the game, same with the movies, music and Internet.
