Telecommunication Services in Pakistan

I came across a very strange piece of information regarding mobile services in Pakistan. I came to know that if you are a pay as you go customer of any mobile network and for example you top-up for Rs 100, you are going to receive Rs 65; Rs 35 goes in taxes. That is very strange and not only that, people are so dumb they are following this rule from a very long time.

Companies around the world pay taxes from their profits, I think Pakistan will be the only country where customers are paying the taxes for the company. I really don’t know how to react on this issue. Should I laugh, should I show my anger or just pity on the people of this country, on how dumb they are.


One thing is for sure, if you are a businessman. Pakistan is the country to be in, where the people will pay income tax for your company.
