Nottingham City Council 20mph

I got a leaflet today. Read it; saw the map and my reaction is ‘this is absolutely outrageous’. The city council is fooling the residents of the city. When I saw the proposed map, this is absolutely hilarious. The roads, which are proposed for the 20mph limit, are not residential areas. They are all major routes of the city, to come in and go out of the city, which connect parts of the city with each other.

They claim that this proposal includes a mixture of shops, schools, community centres and ‘residential streets’. If someone believes in this idea so, I think you are stupid.

This is another way of corruption and generating revenue for this city. They are planning this with budgets of £200,000. Most of the money will go in the pockets of the councillors, contractors and corrupt officials for introducing and implementing this proposal.

By introducing a stupid speed limit of 20mph on major routes of the city. Council can easily generate revenue because these are big, large, wide and clear roads. Where one can easily maintain a higher speed level and can see very easily what’s going on the road.

People need these kinds of limit in true residential areas where roads are very narrow. Where travelling with high speed can be a hazard, where you can easily bump into any vehicle and hit anyone with high speed but why wide and clear roads need 20mph speed limit.

Just to create revenue, to rob people. By implementing stupid rules and force people to follow it. They want to generate revenue because on wide, open and clear, you naturally travel at high speed and the council will give you a fine, points or simply take your right to drive safely.

I think we don’t want our streets back; instead we need our council back from these corrupt councillors and their stupid ideas.

I think we have to vote against and must vote against these people who are holding our council.

I don’t understand why the council is wasting money on the ring road by making it narrower. I have travelled on the ring road, I have seen the road markings they are making the ring road narrower and making it more prone to road accidents. It’s very simple, more accidents, more claims, higher premiums, and higher profits for insurance companies, so high income tax from these insurance companies.

I don’t understand, rather than spending money in job creation and reducing crime in the city, why the council is wasting money.

I want to quote some opinions of the residents, which I read on the Internet.

Kevin Harper, 54, of Wickham Gardens, said 20mph limits at schools times would be best, adding: “I know they say that at a certain speed you would survive certain accidents – surely the potholes in the roads are going to slow everybody down anyway.”

I agree with Kevin, rather than provide us better roads; they are providing us stupid road limits.

He also added, “they decide what they are going to do and no matter what you say they just go ahead with it anyway.”

He is right again; taking your opinion is making a fool out of you. They will do, what they want but we can also do one thing, throw them out of the council in the next elections and remove all stupid limits from wide, open and clear roads.

Robert Reynolds of Shenfield Gardens, Rise Park, said that while he agrees with 20mph limits on the residential roads in the area, the larger roads should be exempt.

He added: “These are wide highways, deliberately designed with few private drive accesses.”

He said the city council was “taking the easy way out by slapping a blanket 20mph speed restriction on the whole district without giving thought to the consequences.”

Irresponsible response from the management of Kout Food Group (KFG)

To, Dione Hamilton & Arron Morley Dear Sir or Madam:             I have accepted your invitation, which I just got now. I will be there on Monday 24 th September 2012 at 06:00 PM at Burger King Lady Bay Retail Park. First thing first, will you please tell the GM Yanna Li and the senior members of staff, of Burger King, Lady Bay Retail Park, to stop spreading rumours about my family and me. If anyone has any problem with me, so come and deal with me. I will not tolerate any rumours regarding my family and me. I am not happy with the presents of Area Manager Arron Morley and GM Yana Li. The reason for sending my resignation to the Area Manager Arron Morley was to bring this matter under his knowledge but the rumours I am getting from Burger King, it is very hard to trust anyone in this business now. I have no objection with the presents of Louise Mounsey in the investigation. Inste...

Pakistan, A Herd of Sheep

It's very surprising and shocking to see that how Pakistani people living in the West are concerned about Syria. I like to ask these people that what about people living in Pakistan. Why don't these people show their concerns for their country of origin?   Why don't they show concern about the corruption of the government? Why don't they show concern when elections are rigged? Why don't they demand for voting rights for Pakistani nationals living in foreign countries? Why don't they demand for electoral reforms in Pakistan if they claim that it's a democratic country? Why don't they show concern about feudal lord and landlord system of the society? Why don't they show concern about political dynasties ruling the country? Why don't they show concern about poverty in Pakistan? Why don't they show concern on deteriorating law and order situation in Pakistan? Why don't they show concern when the army train, support and e...

Dear Muhajir Nation III

O Muhajir people  You are being a target to be divided and you know well what happens when you are divided.  Never forget your history. Never forget what is happening since 1947 till now.  When you came as refugees you were rejected by the local people and asked to go back from where ever you have come from.  In 1971, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman asked for your help for independence, you said no you will support West Pakistan and when West Pakistan lost they deserted you, living your brothers and sisters stateless, which are still stateless in Bangladesh. Similarly, Bengalis who are left in West Pakistan are stateless till date.  There was a reason to create Muhajir Quami Movement (MQM). When this movement became popular, the local feudal lords and landlords didn’t liked it and don’t like it till date.  They have tried to crush Muhajir nation time by time. Never forget military operation in early 1990’s, which was called Operation Clean U...
