Subject: Insulting and Humiliating Behaviour of the Shift Manager

Dear Sir:
I am here to state that the shift manager namely Amr Bikhit of the Burger King behaved in a very irresponsible and in a disrespectful manner.

I want to recall the incident in front of you.

On Tuesday the 3rd of July 2012 around 03:30 PM, when I was alone in the kitchen, I was dealing with orders in the mean time I run out of whoppers. At that time the shift manager passed by me, I called him and asked him “Amr, can you please put a pan of whoppers in the boiler for me.” On this, the shift manager responded me with these words.

“Are you kidding me?” And he straight went to the manager’s office.

That was an unacceptable and disgraceful response from a shift manager. On this reply I wanted to protest by clocking out and by stopping the work but I didn’t do that. But instead I manage the kitchen alone by myself. And some how managed to put a pan of whoppers in the boiler.

By the time the whoppers were in the boiler, the shift manager came out of the office then again I asked him for another pan of whoppers.

The manager sent a member of staff from the front counter, in the kitchen to put whoppers in the boiler. I asked my colleague don’t put the whoppers in the boiler and told her that the shift manager will do this.

The reason I have done that because I wanted to know why the shift manager responded to my call for help in this manner.

He came to me and asked me that why I am not making the orders I told the Shift Manager that “Can you please put some whoppers in the boiler.” I asked him repeatedly rather than explaining his rude behaviour. Instead of, calming me down and giving me an explanation on his insulting behaviour. He asked me, “Are you talking to me?” I replied, “Yes, I am talking to you.” He asked me again and said, “Are you talking to me like this without a please or thank you?” I replied, “Yes, I am talking to you like this without a please or thank you.”

On this the shift manager lost his temper and went to the other shift manager in charge of that shift namely Robert Lowe and asked him I want to send Sajan home.

Then Once again, in a very shameful behaviour, in a very rude body language and in a very harsh tone, he came to me and said “Clock out, go home and come tomorrow for investigation.”

I was already very angry that time by this kind of behaviour of the shift manager and because of this kind of irresponsible behaviour from the shift manager, resulted in my lost of temper as well.

On this I responded to the shift manager by saying “Shut Up!” twice. On listening this, he started shouting in the kitchen and started saying to my colleague, “did you listen that, did you listen that? You will be the witness tomorrow.”

This is not the first time I got this kind of response from a colleague.

On Saturday the 30th of June 2012, when you were here in Burger King and I was alone on my board. I have called Ya haddy Gaye, who is a Trainee Shift Manager responded me with the same words.

On that busy time I have called Ya haddy Gaye for help and asked her just to put some Chicken Royals to cook. On this I got the same response from the trainee, “Are you kidding me?”

If a trainee shift manager is responding me with these words, so what will I aspect from a shift manager of Burger King.

I don’t know that what is the problem the shift manager has with me?

This is not the first time that the shift manager Amr Bikhit has shown this kind of attitude in front of me.

From the early days when I have started work in Burger King at that time I don’t understand the rules of staff meal.

So one day I took some food which was not included in my staff meal. The shift manager asked me a question with these containing these words, “Are you stealing food?”

On this I have replied to the shift manager that please Mr Amr accept my apologies I am not stealing any thing and I am not a thief. And I assured him that from now on I will take care on this matter. I am new here and I am not much familiar with the rules and regulations of this company.

From that day I have started asking for each and everything what I take as my staff meal. You can confirm this by the shift manager Amr Bikhit.

And not only this, the shift manager Amr Bikhit have crossed all of his limits last week and asked me what he has no right to do so.

On Thursday, the 28th of June 2012 around 04:00 PM when I had finished work and was about to go home, the shift manager stopped me on the doors of Burger King and asked me to come towards the staff room. I got scared by the behaviour of the shift manager Amr Bikhit. I went back and waited for the shift manager. The shift manager Amr Bikhit came to me and asked me for my mobile. I asked him what the matter is. But the shift manager in his rude behaviour insisted me to show my mobile to him.

I got scared by the behaviour of the shift manager and gave my mobile then he checked my recent calls. And gave my mobile back to me. I again asked him what’s the matter and he thought that this is an unnecessary question to answer and he went away.

On this foolish and illegal act, I was about to call Police. Instead of calling the Police, I have informed about this incident to our General Manager Yanna Li.

I am ready for any kind of investigation and I Sajan Khan here to assure you that the information and incidents which are described in this letter by me are true and correct to the best of my knowledge. Sadly to back-up my allegations I have no witness but there are CCTV cameras operating throughout Burger King, you can check the footages to back-up my stand.

Irresponsible response from the management of Kout Food Group (KFG)

To, Dione Hamilton & Arron Morley Dear Sir or Madam:             I have accepted your invitation, which I just got now. I will be there on Monday 24 th September 2012 at 06:00 PM at Burger King Lady Bay Retail Park. First thing first, will you please tell the GM Yanna Li and the senior members of staff, of Burger King, Lady Bay Retail Park, to stop spreading rumours about my family and me. If anyone has any problem with me, so come and deal with me. I will not tolerate any rumours regarding my family and me. I am not happy with the presents of Area Manager Arron Morley and GM Yana Li. The reason for sending my resignation to the Area Manager Arron Morley was to bring this matter under his knowledge but the rumours I am getting from Burger King, it is very hard to trust anyone in this business now. I have no objection with the presents of Louise Mounsey in the investigation. Inste...

Pakistan, A Herd of Sheep

It's very surprising and shocking to see that how Pakistani people living in the West are concerned about Syria. I like to ask these people that what about people living in Pakistan. Why don't these people show their concerns for their country of origin?   Why don't they show concern about the corruption of the government? Why don't they show concern when elections are rigged? Why don't they demand for voting rights for Pakistani nationals living in foreign countries? Why don't they demand for electoral reforms in Pakistan if they claim that it's a democratic country? Why don't they show concern about feudal lord and landlord system of the society? Why don't they show concern about political dynasties ruling the country? Why don't they show concern about poverty in Pakistan? Why don't they show concern on deteriorating law and order situation in Pakistan? Why don't they show concern when the army train, support and e...

Dear Muhajir Nation III

O Muhajir people  You are being a target to be divided and you know well what happens when you are divided.  Never forget your history. Never forget what is happening since 1947 till now.  When you came as refugees you were rejected by the local people and asked to go back from where ever you have come from.  In 1971, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman asked for your help for independence, you said no you will support West Pakistan and when West Pakistan lost they deserted you, living your brothers and sisters stateless, which are still stateless in Bangladesh. Similarly, Bengalis who are left in West Pakistan are stateless till date.  There was a reason to create Muhajir Quami Movement (MQM). When this movement became popular, the local feudal lords and landlords didn’t liked it and don’t like it till date.  They have tried to crush Muhajir nation time by time. Never forget military operation in early 1990’s, which was called Operation Clean U...
