Pakistan

Pakistan started on its road map badly when the first prime minister skipped elections, refused to draft a constitution & tried to be too powerful. But Indian democracy is no role model for Pakistan. It is not even for India. It is keeping a Hindu Dalit community of 240 million as well as 160 million Muslims out of the economic mainstream & spends huge sums on military hardware at the cost of social welfare programs. Pakistan is in a worse condition. It took a long time to work out it’s constitution but that was violated by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto & Sharif is no saint. It’s judiciary is averse to the dictates of democracy & the army even more so. The politicos are all products of horse-trading. We have forgotten or ignored the principles that guided Pakistan’s founding father. The press & media are under the control of powerful elements, which are out to make money. Don’t expect from them to launch or inspire something like, called ‘movement’.

Does anyone honestly believe that democracy will solve Pakistan’s problems? Compared to India, a majority of Pakistanis are illiterate & they don’t know anything about the workings of a complicated democratic society. The country needs someone who can clamp down on behaviour that sometimes borders on the idiotic.

It's very surprising and shocking to see that how Pakistani people living in the West are concerned about Syria. I like to ask these people that what about people living in Pakistan. Why don't these people show their concerns for their country of origin?   Why don't they show concern about the corruption of the government? Why don't they show concern when elections are rigged? Why don't they demand for voting rights for Pakistani nationals living in foreign countries? Why don't they demand for electoral reforms in Pakistan if they claim that it's a democratic country? O Muhajir people  You are being a target to be divided and you know well what happens when you are divided.  Never forget your history. Never forget what is happening since 1947 till now.  When you came as refugees you were rejected by the local people and asked to go back from where ever you have come from.  In 1971, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman asked for your help for independence, you said no you will support West Pakistan and when West Pakistan lost they deserted you, living your brothers and sisters stateless, which are still stateless in Bangladesh.
